After an excruciating 22 hours in the sky, we touched down in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was a shockingly long flight for just a 4-day trip, but I'm grateful we had the opportunity to visit this growing city.
We visited the top of Petronus Twin Towers in downtown KL, which is 88 stories and looms above the entire landscape.
I visited the local shopping market and got my first henna tattoo from a kind Indian woman.
The Batu Caves was truly otherworldly. There are monkeys at every turn, devotees with shaved heads, and the most enchanting music.
