Dubai in 60 Seconds

Come see Dubai with me in less than 60 seconds! Josh and I spent just 30 hours in this remarkable seaside city in the United Arab Emirates. Because it was more than 100 degrees outside, I spent most of my time here walking through the city’s many elaborate air conditioned malls. somehow, we managed to walk over 7 miles! Seeing the indoor Dubai Ski Resort was truly bizarre with the desert heat roaring outside.

The highlight was visiting the architectural marvel of the Burj Khalifa and eating baklava on the 148th floor, which takes just a 60 second elevator to reach from the ground level. they boast the highest gift shop (and bathroom?!) in the world. Because it was Ramadan, the restaurants and streets were packed at sundown for iftar and we enjoyed trying the many delicious local dishes and experiencing hospitality at the Rove Hotels.
