It was so much fun to visit the legendary Venetian Resort & Casino in Macau during a recent business trip with my husband. Josh was speaking at a conference for 6,500 financial services professionals from across Asia. It was a unique opportunity to spend time in this city of almost one million people, which is basically Las Vegas by the sea.

The Venetian Macau is renowned for their hospitality and we experienced world-class service from their concierge Wency upon our arrival. After a 14 hour flight, we were so grateful to be ushered into our gorgeous suite on the 28th floor. Overlooking the City of Dreams property, as well as The Londoner and parts of the harbor was beautiful.
Did you know that The Venetian is home to the world's largest casino?! It features an expansive gaming area with thousands of slot machines and gambling tables. The property is massive with 3,000 rooms! It's so huge, in fact, that I walked 10 miles per day without even leaving the property. Josh and I aren't gamblers and I've been sober for 15+ years, so casinos aren't the most likely place to find me, but The Venetian Macau offers so much more for travelers! There are 350 world-renowned retail shops throughout the property....there was plenty of walking and window shopping to keep me busy.

Don't gamble? Don't drink? Don't worry! You will still have a blast here. Here are some of my favorite things to do at The Venetian Macau:
Dining in The Venetian Food Court
Eat. Eat. Eat. There are 25 different restaurants in their food court! You'll find Pan Asian cuisine, including dishes from Portugal, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and of course, China. It's truly a feast for the senses with steam and smells pouring out of every small booth. At lunchtime, you won't find a single empty seat in the house. Everyone from newborns to grandmothers piles in together to share giant bowls of ramen and platters of fish (bones and all!). I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken ramen with spinach and my chicken and water spinach from 101 Tastes. Try the Digreen soft serve ice cream with Hokkaido milk by the South Tower!
Traditional Chinese Massage at the V Spa
A traditional massage in China is often called Tui Na (推拿). It's a therapeutic treatment with a deep history and distinct philosophy that goes far beyond simple muscle relaxation. Its origins date back over 2,700 years in ancient China! It was such a relaxing experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the tea ceremony afterwards. You will feel a million miles away from the clinking and clanking of the casino floor. You can book an appointment here.
Sampling Cookies & Peanut Candy at Pastelaria Koi Kei (Koi Kei Bakery).
I wandered into Koi Kei and had the opportunity to taste a multitude of biscuits, mooncakes and traditional Macanese peanut candies. All of the flavors are different from typical Western desserts, so it was fun to try new sweet combinations like red bean paste and black sesame. I wish I could have brought so much more home with me! No photos because I was too busy eating...
Working out at the V Gym
Because of the 15 hour time difference between Macau and Los Angeles, I was awake pretty much every day at 4:00am. Fortunately, the V Gym is open 24 hours per day! Every morning around 4:30am, I headed to the fitness center for their treadmill and got to see the sun rise. I'm not a runner, but felt motivated to run during my stay here.

Enjoying Dim Sum at Imperial House
We had a fantastic lunch at the Imperial House of Dim Sum! I ordered multiple seafood dishes of dim sum hoping to share, but it turns out everyone I was dining with was allergic to shellfish. I ate 9 of them! The shrimp and crab were beautifully presented and delicious. I even managed to eat the tofu sheet rolls. I'll probably be full for a day or two!
People Watching by the Venetian Canals
It was fascinating to watch tourists take photos by the faux canals! There are so many people who visit Macau from Mainland China, so it's delightful to see families enjoying the sights together.
Order Room Service
It was fun to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the hotel and just enjoy dinner in our room. Such a gorgeous presentation! Nothing like a little late night salad with a side of fries.
Relaxing in the room
We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay here in our plush room. Our suite was so luxurious with sweeping views of the waterfront and epic hotels. The Venetian is an extremely bustling place, so it was nice to have a peaceful enclave to retreat to. We were so grateful for Uttam’s attention to detail, positive attitude and hard work in keeping our room tidy. It is clear that the staff here takes pride in their responsibilities!
You've gotta check out The Venetian Macau for yourself. It's such an engaging and high-energy place!
